Even the maid has stopped taking the empty containers because she has already collected quite a few.
What do you do with such plastic container packaging waste?
1) Can the company take it back and give a discount on the next purchase (the way soft drink bottlers did in the past)?
2) Should the company go the liquid hand-wash packaging style? Sell refill packs separately.
3) Or should it just reduce the packaging and keep it simple - the inner sealed pack can be sold directly. This would help the company reduce its packaging cost as well as save the environment.
4) And get rid of the scoop too.
Should companies that use plastic packaging be charged a higher tax as an environment cess? Will that encourage companies to consciously rework their packaging strategies and take on greater responsibility.
